Winter

Winter is when everyone has fun in the snow, when children make snowmen and snow angels.
When there are snowball fights going on everywhere and it leaves children cheering or crying.
When sports have stopped and every one is bored or stuck inside.
When children go out in the snow and go home to sit by the fire.
When school is boring and you fall asleep when you get home in bed.
When parents can’t go to work and are stuck inside watching TV.
But altogether it’s FUN!

Which is very hard to hold.
And the frozen piece of ice,
Which to skate on is very nice.
Leafless trees, winter breeze,
Snowflakes, icy lakes,
Hats, scarfs and woolly gloves,
Thats the winter that I do love.

Ice hangs from branches like pointy fingers.
Nights are long and cold.
Branches are bare and covered with ice.
Everyone loves to play in the snow.
Roads are layered in sparkling frost.

As we fumble for our keys,

It always rains,
And that is such a pain,
In winter.
As our rosy cheeks glow,
It starts to snow,
In winter.
Though all these things happen,
In winter,
We should be glad there’s no merrier,
Time of year.
