Introducing Roger By Ben

I walked up to the door of the black house and knocked on it as if I was knocking on the door of a huge mansion. It was answered by a tall, skinny man who looked as if he wouldn’t weigh much. He had long, grey hair with bright green eyes and five warts on both hands. He was also wearing grey trousers and a grey jacket with a white shirt and a blue tie. He was also carrying a brown suitcase in one hand. He smiled a ghostly smile with his dry lips and told me to come in.
He led me into the kitchen and we both sat down, facing each other. Then I finally spoke up:
“Are you Roger Penmore? I asked.
“Yes, I am “, He said in a casual voice.
“Then can you -----
“Help you find that Great Dane you lost a week ago” said Roger.
“How did you know I was looking for James? I said, puzzled . “I read the newspapers” he said “I’ll find him, but I will need to use my gift of second sight.....

Introducing Lauren By Cara

As I walked into the room the first thing I saw was a set of miniature candles. The room was small and had a small table set to one side and on it was a walking stick and some old black and white photos. Scattered everywhere was dog’s chew toys. Reluctantly I stepped over a chew bone, and found myself face to face with an old woman. I jumped.
“What are you doing here?” The little old woman asked politely and croakily because she had a cold. “May I be of assistance?” she continued.
The woman wore pearls, pink and white, around her neck. She was wearing a bright pink woolly jumper and a huge black skirt that was way to big for the woman’s little body. I smiled. The woman looked just like who he had been looking for, with her dark, auburn eyes, wrinkled face and pure white short curly hair.
”A... are you Mrs Bull, the dog lover, and you would own 248 dogs, encluding 98 terriers, if I am correct?” I stammered. The old lady took a cough drop.
She smiled. “Yes I am, first name Lauren, but why? Why do you ask?” She now sounded young and fresh.
“Um, because I’ve lost my dog and, I was hoping that you could help me?” I said doubtfully. She laughed.
“Of course. I’ve seen your posters all over town. All I need is his chew toy, and my two Bloodhounds will find that poor little dog. He was a West Highland Terrier named Gordon, right?” The little woman asked.
“Right.” I answered.
“I will tell you where you can find him easy. But getting him back will be something different.”

Introducing Phil By Eilidh

I crept up to the old creaky mansion. The floor boards creaked beneath me. I shoved the giant door open. All around me were books stacked upon shelf‘s and to the right a magnificent staircase. I walked forward and I saw the figure of a man. I walked closer. He was standing extremely still. He had a long pointy nose and I would say he was the size of a child. He was very slim so he must have been weightless. One of his interesting features was the giant spot above his upper lip and his teeny eyebrows. His eyes were an interesting mauve shade. You couldn’t see his hair it was covered up with his purple hat though I bet you he had long hair. His clothes were most extraordinary too. Purple in fact. A purple penguin coat and purple pinstripe trousers. The only thing that dulled it down was the black shoes.
“Hello you must be Phil Dewy,” I mumbled.
“Well of course I am their is no one else here so it must be me,” Phil said in his truly English accent. He sounded like a totally different person to what I expected not posh at all just plain English.
“Would you mind to help me?” I enquired.
“Is this anything to do with the town?” Phil asked.
“How did you know?” I said.
“I go to the town all the time who wouldn’t. Anyway I only live ten minutes away,” Phil answered.
“But how will you be able to help me when all those scientists at the local lab have failed,” I asked.
Straight after I had said that he took me through to a room that I never knew existed. It had potions which were all bubbling noisily.
“I have a gift,” Phil mentioned slowly. ”You know the story of Frankenstein and how a scientist created him.” He said as he was fingering one of the bottles. “Well I have the gift of Frankenstein’s creator I can make any potion needed.”
I felt so much better when Phil said he would help me but their was still the problem of getting back the monsters breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Introducing Nancy Mc Brown By Katie

It was a dark creepy night the street lights were on and I was in the alleyway all alone. I was waiting for her. She should have been here by now. I had been waiting for about an hour. Then suddenly a figure appeared out of the fog. The figure walked and walked closer. I realised it was a woman. It must have been her. She was quite small and a little bit skinny. The lady had reached me and she looked up. It was her Nancy Mc Brown. Her eyes glinted in the street lights with her small pig like nose underneath them; her mouth was in a small grin which changed into a crackling laugh and she had long dark brown or black hair I couldn’t quite tell. She also had a long brown detective coat on with a small circular black hat and her glasses.
“Will you help me?” I asked with a stutter.
“What can I do for you?” Nancy replied with a slight American accent.
“You are Nancy Mc Brown aren’t you?” I said suspiciously.
“Yes I am why wouldn’t I be” said Nancy “Now what do you want me to help you with?”
“Have you read in the news paper about that little girl called Emily who went missing last week that’s my daughter, the police couldn’t find her and one of the top detectives couldn’t find her either so I need you to help me look for her,” I explained.
“I will be able to find her for you but you will need to rescue her yourself.”
“Will you be able to find her because the police and one of the top detec.....,” I said but before I could finish she was gone. I looked around calling her name but she had definitely vanished.

Introducing Mr. Lutz by Adam

As I walked in the door I was amazed by the sight of Mr. Lutz’s Mansion. Right on front of me was a grand staircase but only it had no wooden hand rails and each step brought you about three centimetres up. To my left was about five doors and they were all numbered up to five. To my right was a large double door that said Mr. Lutz’s Private study. And above me was a chandelier with one strong light bulb.
Just then a man walked down the stairs. When he reached the bottom I saw him in full detail. He had a colourful jolly face and his nose was very long. His eyes were a strange sparkly silver they looked unreal up to his tanned colourful face. He looked around his forty’s and was chubby about the same height as me. He had soft silky brown hair poking from underneath his ugly purple top hat with a very different red suit with black buttons down the middle. On his hands were perfectly white gloves and on his feet were black Italian leather shoes. As I walked in the door I was amazed by the sight of Mr. Lutz’s Mansion. Sure I can
It’s about my parents because they went missing about two days ago
Heard it on the news I ave
And nobody can find them not even the best detective in the country
You’re wrong I’m the best in the country
So you’ll help me find my parents
Of course I will
Thank you” I said as Mr. Lutz invited me in to his study.

Introducing Josephine by Kate

As I walked up to the beautifully carved door and knocked on it, a young lady invited me in. She looked very wise and had shrewd blue eyes glinting away in the sun-light. She wore a long purple dress with a little blue scarf tied round her neck and little pink shoes. She also had a little Chihuahua in her handbag. Her beautiful face looked liked it had been made in heaven. Her house was a penthouse apartment with a shocking red interior. I knew that she would help me from the moment I saw her beautiful face greeting and beckoning me in. We sat down on her comfy red couch in her lovely living room. I stroked her Chihuahua while we talked about the mysterious disappearance in my town. “My best friend Carla has disappeared from my town and I was told that you were the one to help me. Is your name Josie?” I asked cautiously. She answered “No, my name is Josephine, Josie is just a nick-name. I can help you. I am a very good friend of Carla’s mum and I need to know more to help you.” The police have failed to find her but are still trying to, so why am I here. “But how can you help me find her if the police have failed?” I asked with great exasperation. “I have second sight, very strange but true.” I answered to her questioning her now and again. “Ddo you mean you can see into the future” I asked, amazed that she had a fifth sight. “Well, yes now and again, it is very depressing especially when someone dies in my family or something bad happens to my friends. I knew that you would be coming to my house to tell me of this terrible incident. I should of warned you before you poor poor girl, have you ever heard of fortune telling?”
“Well occasionally” I answered her a bit happier than I was when I walked through the front door. “My gift is a lot like that only different. Now I can help you find her but getting her back will be hard very, very hard...

Introducing Mr. Tatin by Laura

The small dim room was lit by a wax candle. I could just make the tiny bald man sitting in front of me.
“What do you want?”
His voice was sharp and penetrating. His words seemed to ring around the room. He was wearing a long black robe with a frightening red cape. His eyes were oily black; suddenly his eyes were blood red. I stepped back in alarm.
“What do you want?” he repeated
“I have come to seek your advice” I whispered trembling. “I’m King Rosha’s brother and I want the throne.” While I waited for his response a black cat sauntered into the room.
Ta faet ore malte halc serw” he whispered to the cat “Cetr mantt reio “. Then he switched back to my tongue
“What you need to do is simple, first you need to lure him into a forest where nobody can see or hear you”, he paused, then continued. “Then dispose of him”
I wasn’t sure if I could do any of that. I looked around the room again and noticed there were pots of queer liquids on a shelf, one had a dead frog in it and another had a butterfly. I had been to every crook, every villain in the kingdom and they all had refused to help me, I had offered gold and silver but they had all refused.
“What about his son?” I said
“The answer will come to you in time” He said softly.
“I want it now!” I demanded.
“I will not give it to you!” He said angrily “By the way, my name is Mr. Tatin”

Introducing Ellen by Lucy

I slowly walked into the small cluttered house where I was greeted by a small lady. She was wearing a very scruffy pair of jeans that and a top that looked like she had been wearing it for weeks. She was very chubby. Her eyes seemed to be multicoloured and they stared right at me.
“Hello are you Ellen Smith?” I asked her.
“Yes. I’m Ellen” she replied in her loud English accent.
She took me into a very small room that was meant to be the living room. I found it very hard not to trip over anything as it was so messy. The smell of her house was disgusting. It smelt like fish that had been lying in her house for 6 weeks. She definitely needed my help. I told her she would need to try and tidy up her house a bit and at least get rid of the horrible smell that had been there ever since she moved into that house. All the neighbours just couldn’t stand the smell. I was already feeling sick and I didn’t know how Ellen could live with the horrible smell. The smell was so strong that you could probably smell it from miles away! I was sure that she would much prefer a tidy and nice smelling home.

Introducing Mrs Trill by Pavnjit

I rang the door bell, and then stood back, the house was dark and small and frightening. Then the door opened ‘’Hello’’ said a quiet and squeaky voice ‘’Hello, you called and said you wanted me’’ I said. I went inside her house, there was a table with some letters, and the house was dark.
The little old lady was wearing a green cardigan, a pink skirt, fluffy slippers and her whitey-grey hair was tied back in a bun.
‘’Hello I’m Mrs Trill, yes I did want to meet you’’ said Mrs Trill smiling so her wrinkles were bigger and deeper. Her blue eyes were shining as if she needed my help. ‘’Somebody keeps sending me letters witch say that my daughter is missing, I don’t no what to do I’m just scared’’. I thought she was going to cry. ‘’so you want me to help you find out who sent you those letters, if your daughter is missing, and were she is, because I’m an inspector’’. I said willing to help her.

Introducing Alan by Bruce

I strolled down the stony path leading up to a small, thatched bar. I could hear shouting from inside; I guessed that there were a few drunken people inside.
I swung the old wooden door open. My guess was a wee bit of track, not a few drunken people, all of them drunken and few fighting too. I walked over to the bar, I needed to duck a few times and there was also glass on the floor. There was a barman waiting gloomily for some one to serve. “How may I help you sir,” groaned the man,
“Can I see Mr. Fraser please?” I responded
“In the back, young man,” said the bar man pointing at a door at the back of the bar.
I walked over to the door and knocked.
“Come in,” said a dull voice. I heaved the heavy door open and then it closed with a slam behind me.
“What is your business with me,” said that dull voice. At first I couldn’t see his face but then he sat up from his position with his feet up on the table and his head in a book. I was looking at a full grown man round about 40. He had a strait face; I couldn’t read any expression on his face and his eyes were menacing and scary. He was wearing a black t shirt that was so tight that you could see a six pack. He was sitting on what seemed to bee a swivel chair with leopard skin on it.
“Are...you Alan Fraser?” I asked
“I am, but I asked what you are doing here,”
“I’m here to see you about something that happened two days ago in my house,” I stared strait into those threatening eyes.
“Oh that, that wasn’t me that was my partner.”

Introducing Matt By Kathleen

I had got a letter in the post today, but it was suspicious because the letters and the words had been cut out of magazines. It read:
Listen up,
Meet me in the ally down the road from where you live, at four o’clock today.
From Anonymous

I was puzzled, I looked at my watch and it was already half past three!
So I got my jacket on ran out the door and ran down the street as fast as my legs could carry me. When I had got there it was about ten to, so I decided to wait. The ally was dark and dingy, plus it was cold and there was rats scurrying everywhere.
“Oh good your early” came a voice from the shadows.
“W-who’s there?” I asked walking slowly into the shadows.
“My names Matt, what’s yours?” ‘Matt’ seemed quite cheery but I was still quite conscious that he might be saying he’s someone when he isn’t. The man stepped out of the shadows he was wearing – a pair of brown trousers and a greyish shirt which was tucked in but a little bit hanging out, his eyes where green and determined. I could also see he had odd socks on and his hair was really scruffy he also had a pointy nose that was quite long and he seemed to be grinning all the time.
“I called you here today because … well since you’re a part time detective I was wondering if you could help me find my puppy it went missing a week ago! It has got a spot on its back and he’s a Labrador, could you help me, I eat when I’m sad I eat and I’ve been eating too much lately.” Matt was sad, I just had to help him. He looked fat the moment I met him and now I understood why.
“I’ll help you; find your dog.” I replied.
“Thank you, I’m ever so grateful.” Matt was happy and so was I.

Introducing Maria by Amy

I walked up the steps to the cottage and knocked on the door. The door just creaked open into a dark, spooky room. There was a seat by a table in the kitchen. I sat down and a lady sat down on the other chair on the other side of the table. As she sat down the chair sank. She was a very small lady and by the sinking I thought she was very heavy for a lady her size. She looked at me with her tiny little eyes as she sat there staring. Her nose had 5 big warts and it almost made me sick. I thought she was a mean looking lady.
“Have you come for me to help you find that lost puppy that got lost 2 weeks ago?” the lady asked me in a hint of a foreign accent.
She was a very pleasant lady.
“How did you know I was looking for Lucky?” I said curiously.
“I read the newspaper. I read about all the mystery disappearances that happen” she said
“I am called Maria Parker but my nickname is Mari Parker" she said breathless.
“It is a pleasure to meet you, Maria” I said happily.
Then Maria got up and left the table. She came back 5 seconds later dressed in a dress, a silk scarf round her shoulders and a scarf on her head.
“How do I look?” Maria asked.
“You look....lovely!” I said unsure.
“Thanks! Now I will find your dog!” Maria said.
“How are you going to find Lucky when all the detectives failed?
“I have a strange gift. I have a second sight. And I shall give it to you” Maria told her.
“I see him, now I can go and find Lucky, thanks Maria” I yelled as I ran out the door.
“Goodbye” Maria shouted.
